Americans Spent $584.3 Billion This Christmas →
That’s a record and is up 5.5% from last year. On Christmas presents. For one another. If you do some simple math and consider that Evangelical Christians are 20% of the population and they spent proportionally to everyone else, that would have that group spending around $120 Billion. On Christmas presents. For family and friends. Almost $200 for every man, woman, and child in America (see...

Tea Du Jour
Autumn and winter are my favorite seasons for a number of reasons, but hot tea is one of the biggest. I drink coffee year-round, but I stick to iced tea in the warmer months. During the fall and winter, though, I indulge in a nightly cup of tea.
Tonight’s cuppa was Celestial Seasonings vanilla maple black tea. It was caffeinated, unlike most of the teas I drink, so I may be up all night....

Dental work
I have somehow managed to survive nearly 22 years without a single cavity; however, last month, I went to a new dentist and was promptly informed that I have not one, not two, but no fewer than seven. Apparently I either developed seven cavities in the last year, or my old dentist didn’t have a clue what he was talking about (a more likely bet).
Tomorrow, I get my very first fillings. I...
